I had two capital one accounts. I got behind on payments, and the late fees and over the limits game started up.in Oct I paid a lawyer (Capiltol One collector) $700 and settled account "A". I still had account "B". I never was contacted for payment again on either account.in May I got call from a Capitol One collector saying I owe on a capitol account. I assumed at the time I was paying on account "B". They offered me a settlement and I paid it. I was happy, I thought they were done.
In Feb I got a call from OSI. Capitol One friend. Telling I owed capitol. Very rude people. I tired explain I settled all my Capitol one accounts.
I called Capitol ONe. They only have records of me settle "A" in May. So where did the $700 go I paid the Lawyer. Account "B" was charged off and for bankrupacy, I never have filed.
I appears to me I paid and settled the same account twice. And OSI is on the hunt. Not sure what to. Is this legal.
