First off I applied for a new Household Credit Card. The annual charge was to be $39.00 per year. I did not receive the card for over 2 months.
About 2 weeks after I received the card, I also received a PAST DUE bill with a late charge of $30.00 plus the $39.00 annual fee. I called and they waived the $30.00 fee, and asked if I wanted to make a payment at no charge over the phone, since I'd had so much trouble. I said yes, even though no amount was due for 2 weeks, and paid the entire $39.00.
Then a month later I receive another bill for $12.95 for Check by Phone Fee (ACH). I called and they said there is always a $12.95 Check by Phone Fee, and they would not waive it, and there was no notation on my account that the previous clerk said she would waive it.
So I am stuck with $12.95 on my account that I have to pay. Rip off.
