CCS Credit Service Division
First National Bank Attempted Rip-off!

I received a letter in the mail saying I was GUARANTEED a $6,500 limit and that I would have no fees or interest. They wanted my bank account information but said that it was an unsecured credit card for use with their catelog only. I was also informed that I would be receiving a second card in the mail with which I would be able to take out cash advances.

I called to activiate it, and put in all the information required (most of it was on the paper, but they also wanted my birthday). When I went on the phone to speak to a representative, he sounded very unprofessional. I introduced myself and he was just quiet, like he was high or something. Then he began to speak. Luckily, my phone cut out.

My fiance called back and spoke to a supervisor, who said there was no internet site and that we have eight days to cancel with no charge. If the catelog is not received within 8 days (which it probably wouldn't be) we should cancel. He said that they were in business for over ten years.

But I read this site, and had already ripped up my letter and the card. I am glad, too. It seemed like a scam, and there were no rebuttals on this site. I am going to call my bank and let them know that if this place tries to take out money not to let them. Maybe I will have to close my account and open a new one.

I don't have money to be ripped off, and I think it's horrible that that they are taking advantage of people who just want to rebuild their credit. If someone catches them, let me know.

Thanks and good luck to everybody with all these scams.By the way, I got a phone number off that letter which is supposed to stop you from getting unsolicited credit card offers. This is it: 1-888-567-8688
I didn't try it yet, but I wanted to give it anyway.
