Today I recieved a phone call from Operations Division, (I got this info from caller ID) She, Roxanne, asked if I had a neighbor named "...". At an address on our street. I replied that I was not sure. She told me that she apparently had the wrong phone number for this person and it was imperative that she find this person. She pretended to be an individual trying to make an important personal call. (struck me as odd) She would not take my word that I did not know this neighbor.
She asked me if I would please (authority in her voice, not a request, more like an order) find this neighbor and place a note on my neighbor's door with her number and name and a messagae that it was important. She said, she would give her work number so that the neighbor wouldn't have to pay for the call.
I was being used as free labor for this company! I felt harassed and concerned that this might not be the end of this companies intrusion in my privacy. I wondered how many of our neighbors they might have called. It was easy to track the number on the internet and find out where the call came from. This neighbor must feel humiliated wondering who knows her business now. How horrible!
