HomEq ripoff overcharges on escrow fees rejecting payments rude and uneducated on good business ethics overcharging on late fees

I am a first time buyer and at first my mortage was with New Century Mortage Corp., which they sold my contract to HomEq. Since day one trying to do business with the is hell. I send in my payments electronically through my bank which only takes one day to recieve and HomEq would reject my bank payments. For the past 2 months they have been rejecting my payments then telling me that my account is past due and in collections.

Finally I sent a cashiers' check by certified mail and now they are just holding my cashiers' check and not applying it to my account. I have the proof that some employee from their office picked up and signed for it but now they are just sitting and holding on to the payment.

I've called several times almost everyday trying to resolve this matter but all I get is the same damn bullshit everytime. "I can't answer that, I wouldn't know, or my favorite, they just hang up on me and say ooppss!!! I don't know how we got disconnected."

In the mean time all they are doing is screwing with mine and my husbands credit. The lady I spoke to made it very clear that it doesn't matter how many time I tried to make my payments, on time too, and they rejected it because they want me to use only western union or money gram, they will NOT that part to the credit bureau only that I late. But it's clearly their fault for not accepting my payments in the first place. Each time I called they would just tell me "That's strange, we would never reject any payment from you." Finally when I talked to my bank they showed my the proof that the problem was indeed HomEq rejecting my payments.

Can anyone help, I tried to report them to the Department of Consumer Protection put they said they are not sure if they can help. Does anyone else know what I can do?

What I don't understand is why can't I just talk to someone in Calif. Since that's where my payment was recieved and I would like to know who is the employee that signed for it. It was sent certified mail after all. But I keep on getting rude assholes. Everytime I call the number is sent to North Carolina and all I want is to talk to someone in Calif. But they said they don't have those phone numbers. What kind of business does not have ways to contact the other branches? I just keep getting the run around.
