I had a magazine company tell me I couldn't cancel my subscription. They would continue to bill my credit card.
I contacted Chase credit card of this transaction that should not take place. I asked if there was any way to stop Subscriber Services from charging my card?
The man who I talked to informed me there was nothing I could do but dispute the charges after I received my bill.
I asked him to close my account. He told me I couldn't do that because my husband was on the account.
I called back when my husband was home and asked to close our account. Again, he asked to speak to my husband. My husband told him to close our account, then gave the phone back to me. He doesn't do business in our family.
The credit card guy told me he would close the account, but he would also advise everyone that I closed with an outstanding balance. My Bill il paid every month in full.
