"Intercontinental Mortgage Group" rips off potential mortgage loan applicants by misleading customers via telephone, Reach magazine, Super Shopper & Family Circle magazines with an unbelievably low interest rate implied as a 30 year fixed rate loan, however, this is just another "interest only" mortgage gimmick with outrageously high closing costs. That's why they'll never quote closing costs over the phone. This is nothing more than "Mortgage Fraud". Employees are instructed to outright lie to potential customers over the phone (bait & switch) to lure them in the door, at which point, another smooth talking loan officer will "sell the sizzle" to sucker unsuspecting customers into signing their lives away and talk them into surrendering their original tax documents in order to keep them hostage. Therefore, customers will be unable to shop else where. This company mysteriously uses the same lender, title company & appraisers for 99.9% of their loans. This is only one of many RESPA violations. Also, this company has been known to employ "unlicensed" loan officers in the very recent past, regardless of state/federal regulations. Files and/or documents are continuously shredded to avoid arousing suspicion as to illegal activities from state auditors. The owner of the company, William L. Burress III intimadates customers and employees alike, in order to get his way. Once an employee leaves or is discharged, usually, without cause, final pay is NEVER paid, as well as unauthorized medical insurance deductions taken from employee pay checks. The owner has been known to promote employees and then discharge them 2 days later without cause, after they've signed a non-compete agreement with his company. This employer further refuses to pay unemployment benefits by telling lies about previous employees as to why they were discharged. Anything to get out from paying these monies. The Customers are not the only ones to be taken for a ride at the hands of William L. Burress III, so are the employees. The Better Business Bureau site is loaded with complaints regarding this company, mostly unresolved. The company's owner, William L. Burress III seems to think he's "above" the law! The FBI, Attorney General's Office, Ohio Association of Mortgage Brokers & National Association of Mortgage Brokers have been contacted and advised to immediately revoke the operations license of this company.intercontinental Mortgage Group is giving honest mortgage companies a BAD name!!! If you still insist on business with them, you'll be "sorry"!!!
