National Action Financial Srevices - Household International - HSBC - United Recovery Services
Household Finance Ripoff, Threats, intimidation, harassment, vague promises of retaliation

Every day now (October) for over 3 weeks my phone rings with a "Message" from "Lisa Adams." They originally called my home phone, but after I blocked their calls they began calling my cell number. (My cell cannot block incoming calls, and they are eating up my minutes. Bummer.) Every call is about 2-1/2 minutes long.

Lisa makes vague statements and implies threats if I don't respond right away. This sounds like a collection agency, but I do not have outstanding debts. There is never a human on the line. If I call the number back, there is a recording, and never a real person to talk with.

They are bothering me. They are harassing me. But without purpose or verification. There is no information in their recorded message that identifies me by name. How do they know they are harassing the right person? How should I know if they are calling me intentionally? How long can this continue? I'm not sure, but I think my next step is to contact the FTC in Washington D.C.

This troubles me because the calls come at all hours, from 6 A.M. Until 10 P.M. Or later, and I don't feel they are intended for me, but there are no people to talk with. I found a note on the Internet that said this company is a "scavenger collection agent." That means they buy old collection accounts that are long expired (over 7 years) and refile them and try to make them look new again so they can collect. If I could talk to somebody in their office, I'd say they should send me a copy of anything they have on me. They won't have anything, and this will go away. Extremely frustrating. They're scum.

They are known as National Action Financial Services; Household International HSBC; Household Financial HSBC; and Capital One. Lisa Adams is probably a phony name. Their phone is 716-650-6240, and their toll-free phone is 866-265-5244, based on what they tell on their recording. Scum!
