I was contacted approximately two years ago regarding a Fingerhut account I had over a year prior. I made arrangements to pay 52.00 per month by automatic deduction from my checking account.
In December, I refinanced my home and discovered via my credit report, that the Fingerhut account still showed outstanding and no payments having been made.
When I contacted Connie Shields at Asset I was informed the payments would be credited and the account would be shown on my credit report as paid in full.
To this day I have been unable to get the company to post favorable information regarding this acount on my credit report.
The last time I called I asked to speak to a supervisor. I spoke to a gentleman who told me the information would be posted on my credit report and everything was taken care of.
To this day the information shows a negative reporting history on my credit report.
