Centurion offered a $2,000 line of unsecured credit, for a one time fee of $249.00. It was a scam that many fell for. Ripoff

Centurion Financial Benefits offered an unsecured credit line of $2,000, for a one-time fee of $249.00. They are based in Ontario, though they are doing business in Champlain, New York. This was a deceptive scam, and for the "fee", you get a box of incidental brochures and applications for debit cards. My bank refused to approve my fraud complaint, saying it was my fault for authorizing the debit to my bank account. I reported this to the State Attorney General of New York and they have had little luck in helping me, though they have been understanding and have taken action. This instance of fraud occured last year. I am a disabled man and unable to work or drive. I live on less than $13,000 per year. My plan for the credit line was to consolidate some expenses. Now I am in financial ruin resulting from this predatory company's fraudulent actions, and it has resulted in a very deep depression, for which I was hospitalized four times. My advice to anyone when presented with such an offer is, do as much research as possible before paying any fees or divulging bank account details.
