NCO Financial Systems sent me a collection notice for $48 for "Ebay seller fees". As I've never sold anything on Ebay, I called NCO to dispute the collection, and contacted Ebay. Ebay says my account is in good standing and that they've never issued any collection notices on it, but NCO refuses to remove the debt from their books unless contacted by Ebay. They insist that Ebay must have sent the collection in order for them to have gotten it, and Ebay insists it's fraud. I'm sort of stuck between a rock and a hard place, here. I doubt Ebay will cheerfully contact a collection agency perpetrating a fraud in their name to clear my account. And after reading about NCO, I realize they're con artists and will not clear it off themselves. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
