Ocwen bought my property which is located in a high end community of L.A. County and have harrassed me consistently about payment although I have always promptly paid them and the other company from whom they purchased my mortgage promptly within the 15 days allotted prior to being late.
In December, I told them I had a hard ship case with my daughter who has cancer, but would make up the one month late in January and February along with my regular payment.
They took the partial payment to which I had added a late fee as well, but continued to call me 4-6 times per day by
automatic caller. Ocwen also turned my account over to an attorney who too began to harass me as well. Too date, I am caught up, but feel very angry at these people and the system, as I feel there is no one looking out for those of us who have the mortgage.
Also, I feel that there is no recourse for having a say in who is carrying ones mortgage and the unfairness of this. Is there a way that this can be remedied, so that one knows more about the mortgage carrier?
Is there anyway one can refuse the sale of mortgage to a disputable carrier?
And why do they call themselves a bank such as Wells Fargo or U.S. Bank?
Is this an identity perpetration on their part?
