Loves To Harass, rude, discourteous, no patriotism, liars, ripoff

I, too, had my home financed through Vanderbilt. We missed a payment due to a new baby and my husband being deployed at the same time. When they called and I explained this to them and said that I was trying to deal with my husband leaving, I was told that they didn't care if he was "going to the moon". Which of course brought me to tears.

Then I told them that I had already put the check in the mail, but they said that wasn't good enough, that I needed to take one to the park office. I explained that I couldn't afford to make two payments and was assured that they would rip up the check they recieve in the mail. I made a huge mistake in trusting them. Both checks were cashed which caused my account to go over and checks to bounce.

When we called to resolve the matter, the lady acted like she didn't know what I was talking about. And I was jokingly told that at least I already had last month's payment paid.

So, I reported my case to the Better Business Bureau online. That did bring results. A supervisior called me and apologized. Although she couldn't refund the extra payment, she did refund the bank charges caused by my bounced checks. She also said that the lady that had told me she would rip up the check, denied saying that. But, I believe if enough people report them on the BBB, then maybe they'll realize they need to retrain their employees.
