I recently graduated at my high school. One of my relatives gave me a needed $50 check as a graduation gift. Little did I know that although these people were well off, the check would bounce.
I mainly use my account for filling up my motorcycle, so around $4 to $7 each purchase. I didnt have much in the account, so the $50 was much needed. The initial thing that started it all was the check bouncing, the $50 being taken out, and a $10 charge. Unfortunately, they dont update their databases till like 2-3 days after something happens. I had no idea.
I kepy going on about my daily business. I was soon, unaware, in the negatives. With each purchase, $30 was charged. About 3 days after, I noticed the sudden change, but it was too late. I recently made purchases again, and it had only begun. I ended up getting charged $210 for a grand total of -$224.36. They say the protect their people. How is this helping me?
The logical thing would be to disable my card. Simple and no more charges, but they did not, ever.
