Ripoff, $5 gas promo fraud!

In April I opened my account at US Bank. First off they did not inform me that when I deposit ANY type of funds (including CASH) that it would not post to my account for 2 to 7 BUSINESS days!

As a promotion in our area they gave out $5 gas vouchers. I called in to receive this gift.in June I was checking my account via internet and saw a charge for $21.90. I called the 24hour line and began asking questions.

I was told that I MUST have enolled or signed up for something. When I asked for names and numbers of the company that was charging me they said that they NO information for me. I asked to file a dispute, to which I never was given any information on the outcome.

It is now July and I received a letter saying I overdrafted my account due to another charge of $21.90. Again I called the banks 24hour number. This time I was told that the name of the company is AIG, BUT that is all the info they have. After 20 mins of fighting and threating to obtain legal representation they found a number. (big surprise)

After calling the number and speaking with SEVERAL reps I find out that US BANKS and several larger companies have "share agreements" and that US BANK has all the information on all of these companies (ap9, simple expressions, AIG, UNCF) just to name a few.

I am very angry with US BANK for assuming that consumers will turn a blind eye and "just pay the money we owe" as I was told. Beware of any promo's that they offer!
After many days of fighting I have been able to get 1 of the charges reversed, but it has not been an easy or consumer friendly task.

If you too have had problems with this particular "promo" call 1-800-572-5838. This is the mystery number that will solve some of the problems. As for the Ap9 and the others you will probably have to go into your local branch and have about an hour to talk with the manager... Very strange how they find numbers when you do not back down!!!

By the way DO NOT ASSUME that your account is ever right with these people this is only one of the many problems we have had with them!!!
