I have had two different problems with Litton, first, they credited a different account with my payment and I only have one mortgage with them. They tried to tell me I did not make my payment. Fortunatly, it was found and corrected.
Second, today, I went to make my payment and noticed late charges from the first incident where they admitted fault. I called and got it corrected. However, had I not kept meticulous records of confirmation numbers, names of people I spoke with, dates and times I spoke with them, I would not have been able to stand my ground. I could sense they were feeling me out to see if I was keeping good records etc.
Moral - keep EVERYTHING you get from them in an orderly file, names, dates and times, confirmation numbers etc.
