During my one year and one month with Capital One, they have FAILED to send my monthly statement TWICE. I find it hard to believe that they couldn't have the correct mailing address TWICE in one year.in the month of April I went to the bank and got a money order to send my payment in BEFORE the due date. They CLAIMED they hadn't recieved it and added on $90 for the hell of it!!! I made a $20 payment by phone the following week and they added on another $100!!! I have had it with these damn vultures and decided to cancel my credit card with them. They can ram it up their butts for all I care!
If First USA can get into trouble with the government for hanging on to payments just to charge people with late fees, Capital One should get into trouble for theft and all the crap they do to STEAL money from people!
Another customer who had problems with Capital One stated about 3 years ago she signed up as well after receiving an offer from another company that they bought out. She made her payments on time and they kept saying they were late and kept adding fees. When she was getting ready to buy a new house she called them up and cancelled the card and paid the balance in full. 3 months later as she was making sure all her ducks were in a row for financing they still sent her statements. She called them no less that a dozen times to tell them to stop sending her statements. They said they were obligated to as she now had a. 25 cent credit. She had told them the last 3x to just send her flippin quarter and stop sending her statements. She wanted my account fully closed for the credit checks you know? She added that she will never do busisness w / them again.
And one other customer stated that after she paid her balance off and closed her account, they wrote things AGAINST her just for closing her account with them. Something DEFINATELY needs to be done about Capital One!
