I have been in a forebearance agreement with ocwen since 1997. First for 2 yrs FHA/HUD was the mortgage holder, then when ocwen took it over in 1997 the 2yrs of payments made to HUD suddenly were not made and we were supposedly 2yrs behind. I have followed the agreement since 1997, filling out financial data requests every year, sending payments on time, etc. I am trying to refinance the 1st and 2nd mortgages, to try to save a little monthly. I ordered a payoff and when I got it, it showed $25000 plus in fees due on top of the original principal. O
Cwen is not interested in helping me by negotiating these fees down or away, and can't really give me a satisfactory explanation what they are. When you contact them by phone you get indian or middle eastern people that really can't speak english or if they do they are rude and have such a heavy accent you can't understand them. One mortgage co contacted them for a payoff and was told that I had done too good of job in paying my payments and ocwen was not interested in helping me. With the fees and the original principal and my 2nd mortgage we are at about 96% or 97% of loan to value.
No one will or can touch this to help refiance and ocwen just doesn, t seem to care. If the fees could go away we would be below 90 % loan to value. I tried to refinance through ocwen and got we only can go 65% loan to value. How is this supposed to help
