The Ocwen Chronicles, I too have a Ocwen story, I bought a land home package deal from Walter Burton Homes (Westminster SC) Now out of business in SEP 1997, The Mortgage obtained thru a Mortgage Broker (due to my previous credit)
The Mortgage Brokers The SCOTT FINANCIAL Group obtained the Mortgage from EQUIFIRST using a plan that calls for them ballooning the asking price with a healthy appriasial then adding a so called imaginary 2nd mortgage held by the landowner.
You guessed it Walter Burton Himself.
They get you to agree to this with the promise that you endure 2yrs of payments you cant handle with the promise of refinancing later.
This plan insures that even paying off your 30 year mortgage you hard earned dollars have earned you ownership of NOTHING! 3 Weeks after closing Ocwen buys the Mortgage from Equifirst and then things go bad.
After dealing with Ocwen and you all know how they are from the other reports here I finally got someone to refinace my home But Ocwen would never send the new lender the payoff information.
In stead they put off the new lender about the payoff until it was too late to do anything about a refinance And filed foreclosure precidings against me. Causing the refi not to get done and thus keeping me in the Ocwen Strangle hold. When they accerlated the mortgage I started looking for another Home for our family to live. The day after I made the down payment on this place Ocwen calls saying for 1100 dollars I could keep my house
I told them to go F#! Themselves and was foreclosed on. I just thought you guys would like to know.
