Capital credit ripoff -they have taken my money from my account

I sent in MY $43 and my approval slip, they even sent me a second notification wondering why I hadn't applied! This upsets me so bad because now I dont have a visa and I am out $43.00. Can I do anything to get my money back? I am also concerned that they have important information like my social security number! Please help!
