My previous loan servicing company was outstanding. Never a problem when paying online, never a fee. The first of the year came around and I was switched to Litton Loan, LP. I made two payments on the very same day. One went through and showed on my bank statement.
When the other did not appear I contacted them via telephone. I got someone that you could not even understand and it took me ten minutes to ask him if my payment was recieved. Figured it was a bad experience but everything was in order. A few more days went by and still no posting to my account that the representative indicated was perfectly fine. I'm doing my due diligience here. I called the bank, said they do not show any request for payments from my account pending or approved. I call the outsourced customer service department of Litton Loan. I explain the situation, this representative explains that the check was returned??? How can something be returned if it was never recieved. He took care of me so I thought. I go to make next months payment and wallah a late fee, not the returned check fee of $25.00 as suggested. It's 14.98. How does the amount keep changing. I go to their online support so I don't have to deal with people not responding and to keep a better record of what is going on for future proof of this ridiculous service.
I send an email, the form only allows a brief question. Maybe three to four sentences and you can never reply to the same thread. So you never can post the original repsonse the sent you as it is to many characters. They tell me it was my fault and they will not reverse the $25.00 fee. Okay, then why is it showing that it's a late fee now of 14.98. So which is it, a late fee for something that wasn't late of a check return fee for 25.00. They don't know either. I am sure that this is happening to other customers and I want to get the word out their. On top of all this when they send you a response, you can send a response back to the email address they send from. The customer service response comes from [email protected]. How crazy is this service, and they boast about their committement to service. Does anyone else think I'm crazy here?
