I had an a perfect copy of the experience reported by Christina of Elkhart Indiana except I was uncomfortable and began taking action to prevent a loss of funds the next AM.
I contacted my local BBB, The NY BBB, My bank, And The NY Att Gen..
At each point I was advised to close my current bank account and reopen a new one. I was advised to notify any one with similar dealings with this organization to take the same steps including the FTC as this scam involves violation of state and federal laws.

FTC=1-877-382-4557. NY Att Gen 1-800-771-7755, NY BBB 1-800-828-5000. You can find your local BBB listed as Better Buisness Bureau.
These people can be stopped if enough people will contact these agencies and provide them with the data. The Ftc has started a file on the company but needs as much feed back as possible to justify an investigation.
For those who have given thier identifiers to Spectra, It would be advisable to contact the credit reporting agebcies and request an alert be placed on the credit file in case all this info is used in an Identity theft type scam.
Lets all work together and put these people out of buisness.
