Got a call from this obviously rotten company that doesn't do their homework, or perhaps just tries to get money from people they bully.
My opinion.
They wanted me to pay off the big debt my ex wife racked up on a card that Ihad to go bankrupt on 2 years ago. Discharged. Done with it. She did not go on the bankruptcy with me, and I lost another half of $5K due to misguided magistrate in boulder county court who gave our tax refund allto her to pay her 1/4 of the debt she was only responsible for.
Credit card companies should be sued in class action suit to force spouses to be responsible as well as card owner. That's an aside.
So, regardless that NCO had my very old address at the house my ex lost for us, they did have my phone. She asked for my address. I told them to look it up, since they have my phone number, but also to look up the bankruptcy judgement.
She said: so, you're not going to pay this?
I said: you're not listening, it is discharged. Done. You have old info. This is from MBNA credit by the way, so I'm going after them next. I will send cease and desist letter to these guys, thanks to getting the address of these corrupt people (or just totally inept?) from the usacomplaints.com website.
Thanks!
