Citibank (and probably other credit card companies) want you to be late with your payments. How do they do this? Look at my statement. Closing date: January 24. Bill arrives February 3, a full 10 DAYS LATER! Payment due date: February 13. Suggested mailing time: 5 days.in effect, they give you ONLY 5 DAYS TO PAY! If you need to wait for your bi-weekly paycheck, YOU ARE LATE! If your check doesn't arrive by 10 am, it's late! So subtract another day. February 13th is a Sunday—no mail delivery so subtract another day!
Do yourself a favor— use only one or two cards and avoid these well planned corporate ripoffs.
