I am disabled and on a fixed income barely making it month to month. I just need some some time to get caught up with my bills. My drugs cost over $1,000. @ month. And my "cobra Insurance" runs out at the end of the year.
Last week was elated when my 17yr old daughter opened my my mail on sunday and found a letter saying I was Pre-approved for a $10,000. Credit card.
I had to claim it by Feb. 16 2005 or lose it! All I needed to do was send them $37.
My happiness got the best of me and I wrote out a check and ready to carry it to the post office, and send express mail, to Credicorp Inc.in Dallas Texas on monday. Well monday and Tuesday I had a bad relapse and was out in my recliner for 48 hours. Wedsney I put a new morphine patch for pain on and I felt a little better.
In this lucid moment I reconsidered that letter and decided to do a google search on that company. Boy was my bubble burst. It was a scam! I didnt lose any thing but respect for myself for being so gullable. How many other people like me don't have a computer and sent those BUMS money that they need badly?
