After moving and changing our automatic payments to our new bank, every month for over six months we have notifed and verified with Vanderbilt that our new bank account information was in their system and our payments would automatically be taken out of the New Bank Account each month. However, they continue to attempt to take funds from the old bank account instead, even though we have step by step verified that they have the Correct bank account information in their system and have emailed, faxed, and snail mailed authorization forms over and over to no avail.
When they attempt to take the funds from the old account and it shows as cancelled, they then wait two months before they contact us to tell us "payment bounced" and charge US a $10 late fee for Their mistakes. They refuse to remove the late charges although they have the new account information and have verified it with us numerous times, all of which we have documented with names, dates, and times - all of which the business and accounting office have no interest in.
In my opinion they are intentionally attempting to get more money from us in underhanded ways, committing fraud both in attempting to obtain payment from an inactive account that they Know is inactive and have known is inactive for at least six months, and are causing us undue mental anguish and untold levels of frustration.
When we moved, we had to change over at least 8 automatic payments from other companies, all except Vanderbilt's have been a smooth transition. Vanderbilt will not accept responsibility for their inept staff or their lackadaisical attitude toward correcting their errors.
