Complaint / Review
The Windsor Discount Company LC
None receipt of paid goods totalling $1462.50

On 10 May I contacted The Windsor Discount Company enquiring into wholesaling beauty products. I was contacted by one of their account managers, Daniel Treitel and after corresponding with him for some time I put in my first skincare/cosmetics order and attended to payment of $272.17 by credit card on 12 May.

On 15 May I received an email from Daniel Treitel advising that my order had been sent out and also to provide me with the tracking information for the products. This order was received two weeks later.

On 25 June I placed another larger order in the amount of $1512.50 (Order No. 120625A).

On 26 June payment in the amount of $1512.50 was made by credit card.

On 3 July I received an email from Daniel Treitel advising that they were having problems with their credit card facility and that he would have my credit card payment refunded and advised that I was required to make payment via wire transfer.

On 4 July I received an email from Daniel Treitel advising that some of the products that I had ordered were now unavailable and the new amount to be transferred was $1462.50.

On 4 July I sent through another smaller order in the amount of $247.46 (Order No. 120705A).

On 11 July I received an email from Bernard Pelletier advising that he had processed my credit card refund in the amount of $1512.50. (This amount has been received)

On 13 July payment for both orders (Order No. 120625 for $1462.50 and Order No. 120705A for $247.46) were made via my internet banking.

On 16 July I received an email from Daniel Treitel advising that my smaller order (Order No. 120705A for $247.46) had been sent out and providing me with tracking details for this order. He also advised that the larger order (Order NO. 120625 for $1462.50 was still being “pulled and packaged” and that he would get back to me once this had been sent out.

On 23 July I sent an email to Daniel Treitel following up on the status of my order (Order No. 120625) and made a note that this order was originally made on 25 June.

On 24 July I received an email from Daniel Treitel advising that he would check on the status of my order with the warehouse and get back to me.

On 25 July I sent an email to Daniel Treitel asking if he had a chance to chase this order up for me.

On 26 July I phoned the Windsor Discount Company and left a message for Daniel Treitel asking for him to contact me to let me know what was happening with my order as by this stage I was starting to get worried.

On 27 July I received an email from Daniel Treitel advising that he received me voicemail message and that he was still waiting for the tracking information and that once it had been received he would contact me. He also advised that even though my order was originally placed on 25 June payment had only just been received.

On 2 August I sent an email to Daniel Treitel asking how the order was going.

On 3 August I received an email from Daniel Treitel advising that my order (Order No. 120625) had been shipped but he was still waiting for the tracking information and that he would forward it to me once received.

On 13 August I sent an email to Daniel Treitel advising that I wanted to know what was happening with my order (Order No. 120625) as I still had not received the products or the tracking information.

I requested the date the items were shipped and the tracking information and asked that if the items had not been shipped then for him to cancel my order process a refund immediately.

I also reminded Daniel Treitel that the original order was paid for in June but due to problems with their credit card, payment had to be refunded. The wire transfer payment was received early July and that it was now mid August and I still had not received my order (Order No. 120625).

On 23 August I sent an email to Daniel Treitel advising that I had left him two voicemail messages and would like to know what was happening with my order.

I noted that I received an email from him on 3 August advising that the order had been sent out and made a point that if had been over a month (previous orders had taken 2 weeks to arrive from the US) and that I assumed the order had never been sent out and if this was the case then could he please cancel the order and organise a refund.

I stressed that, at the very least, I would expect him to contact me to let me know what was happening and what the holdup has been.

On 27 August I sent an email to Daniel Treitel and also copied in the director of sales, Bernard Pelletier, setting out all the points that I have mentioned in this complaint and advised that if I had not heard back from either of them within 14 days then I would be making a complaint filing a Complaint with the Consumer Complaints & Reviews Board.

On 29 August I received an email from Bernard Pelletier thanking me for bringing this to his attention and also assuring me that there had obviously been some mistake made as The Windsor Discount Company was a legitimate company and that things had just been crazy as they had just had the largest trade show of the year.

On 3 September I sent an email to Bernard Pelletier asking how he was going sorting out my refund.

On 11 September I sent an email to Bernard Pelletier advising that if I did not hear back from him within 24 hours regarding the status of my refund then I would be filing a Complaint with the Miami Police Department and the Consumer Complaints & Reviews Board.

I also note that in his letter of 28 August he states that they are a legitimate company and please don't worry you will get right back to me but that my email of 3 September still remains unanswered. Again, I repeat that I no longer require the products but I would like my money back immediately.

On 12 September I received an email from Bernard Pelletier advising that he had just been travelling. He asked me to please not worry and that if I wanted a refund then that could easily be arranged.

On 17 September I sent an email to Bernard Pelletier asking what the status of my refund was.

This email has gone unanswered.

I would like to stress that I no longer want the products that I originally ordered and I would now like a full refund for the products that I ordered totally $1462.50 and have not received.
