Just been for our second visit to j2a for a pamper day. The first time we visited it was on a groupon deal back in november last year but this time we organised it direct with the company and got even more value for our money! Whilst we were there this time we got chatting to another couple of people who had purchased a groupon deal and they told us about this site. Apparently they had been put off visiting because of the reviews on this site but luckily they decided to come anyway. We all agreed some of the reviews are not genuine, on our part we are going to make our visits a regular event and I know the other couple were also happy with their visit and pleased with their treatments. When we spoke to the girls who did our treatments about the reviews on this site they told us that some people had cancelled their appointments as a direct result of the comments on this site. That doesnt seem fair to us, whilst the description of the business initially given by groupon was 'embroidered' to say the least, the salon has been tastefully renovated from a terraced house to a very spacious hair and beauty salon, on 4 floors. Whilst there are a lot of stairs so it may not be suitable for everyone the staff are all pleasant, friendly and welcoming and all the treatments we have ever had have been excellent. Since we last visited they have launched their own skin care range which is EXCELLENT! I hope measured up actually feature this review as I really want to let people know not to be put off by the other negative reviews - the experience really is worth going for and the owners will make you feel very welcome
