Purchased a spa day for two with 2 one hour treatments each as a Mother's Day gift. Booked well in advance, however the week before was contacted by the salon to change the date as they had double booked us, re-arranged for the following Saturday. On arrival at the "salon" it was apparant that it was just a hairdressers at the end of a terraced block, there are no spa facilities as promised. The receptionist was clueless as to what we were there for or the treatments we had pre-booked. We were taken to a dingy basement that was foisty and damp and left to wait. Eventually a member of staff told us that the only treatment available was a facial and that they didnt have time to paint my nails, as had been previously arranged. After another long wait we were taken to the top floor of the building which was sruffy dark and filthy, the bathrooms were horrendous, the towels were filthy, the sink was disgusting and there was no loo roll. We were asked to put on some skanky robes then wait for our facials. The girls said they only did basic facials and had no idea what the products were. The nail technician was shocking and I could have done better myself! All in all the experience was far from relaxing and we left feeling extremely let down and ripped off both by the salon and groupon. I am certainly wary of booking anything else through groupon!
