Got our Newfoundland Pup from this Greeder back in May. A few weeks after bringing him home we started noticing his back legs (hips) bothering him. At only 6 months i had his hips x-rayed & was told that there were signs of Early onset Hip Dysplasia.
I contacted Sheila & was told “that any vet who would do X-rays at such an early age, was just trying to get our money! ” Hmmm, isn’t THAT the pot calling the kettle black!!?
Our pups problems continued to grow, & by age 1 1/2 years we had him at Cornell U for a total Left Hip Replacement. He recovered well, but we were also told in & around that time that he had “fat” arthritic elbows, not one, but TWO bad hips & was dubbed an Orthopedic train wreck by the top ortho team in the Country.
One year later he had a right TPLO. He has been on several different meds for years now to manage his discomfort.
Well, almost 3 years to the day from his hip replacement, i discovered that his hip is dislocated!!! This left me with very few options, so at the age of 5 i decided to let him go. My beloved soulmate, my companion, my shadow, the love of my life..fell asleep in my arms forever.
All this pain due to Sheila & her blatant disregard for breed standards & genetics!! She is a TERRIBLE human being & there is a special place in Hell for people like her!
I beg of you, save yourself some heartache & run far away from this poor excuse of a breeder!
