I tried to obtain services from direct tv and recently ran into legal troubles where I ultimatly spent time in jail (1 yr). Upon my release I wanted to establish an account with direct tv and was denied due to the fact that while I was gone my mother allowed another tenant to take over payments. Without my mothers knowlege this young lady had ordered direct tv sevice and left with an outsanding bill. Although (Ms Johnson) admitted to direct tv the fact that she no longer lives here and gave them her new address and phone no. Im still not able to obtain services unless Ms Johnson pays overdue balance. Upon speaking with the fraud dept. A lady named Claudia claimed that I specified that Ms. Johnson was my sister, of which I never stated, because Im an only child. With that, I was told that once that balance was paid, that I would be able receive direct tv. I feel that since I didnt benifit from the services whatsoever, that Im not liable or responsible for someone elses debts. Im very responsible when paying MY BILLS and have not ever had anything to hinder my obtaining of any sevices before. I feel that direct tv has given a wrong interpitation of this whole experience and passed down the wrong judgement in this whole ordeal. Im am shocked over this decision and demand an investigation so that we can find closure on the situation and not to rely on speculation... Thankyou... Deron T.
