I signed up for a partnership package with Verizon and Direct TV. The services did not work out; correspondence went to the wrong address. Verizon gave me a full refund. Not Direct TV. Because I had the dish for a few days, they have billed me for the past 9 months for $500. They do not listen to reason. They argue that you only have 24 hours to try the service, and if you don't cancel in that time, you are locked into their contract. Even though Verizon did not tell me this upfront, no matter. Direct TV really needs the money, it seems.
