We bought a new house and didn't ask if we wanted HD. They installed low def 3 days ago, I purchased a new HD and NOW they want to charge me $200 for it, plus delivery 19.99. Note - customer service tells me if we would have told them (rather then them asking) they would have installed it at no cost. The mgr told me I should Not have assumed, I told him direct TV should not have assumed and asked a simple question, that is "are you planing on purchasing a HD TV".
They have locked us into a 2 year agreement and even talking to the manager they would not discount or give us the box.
I hate these people and will never use them again!!!
FYI - It took me 25 more minutes to talk to a manager, his english stunk and was a jerk about it too...
Everyone in customer service I talked to was in the Philippines and don't give one rat's tale about us.
Direct TV can pound salt! They stink!
