A company called Ad Efx came into my business selling their services. I was told that a professional team of salesmen would go out and sell coupons for $50.00, and I would get new customers. This was a way to get new people coming in. I signed with them in March and heard from David from Ad Efx around the 10 if May. He told me that he was going to be sending his sales people into meet me.
May 15 his salesperson named Angie drops off the coupons, and I never got to final the proof. I was not there until the next day, and I come to work to a load of hateful phone calls from people buying the coupons. Apparently the sales people were out saying they worked in my business, and we were either looking for 20 good looking people to sell these exclusive coupons to?
Another caller told me that she was told that I was having a grand opening and these were a way of getting people into our business. It went on with different lies of services and excuses. I was so extremely mad when hearing what lies there were spreading about our business. I immediately phoned David within 3 hrs. After all the threats, and intimidating phone calls based on Ad Efx's lies and deceitful sales tactics. He would go from very nice to extremely aggressive, and we were not getting anything but me more frustrated. He would tell me you signed the contract, so deal with it. I told him to stop selling any further coupons based on the lies, fraud, and misrepresentation of my business.
He then started to threaten to close down my business, and ruin me forever. I told him go ahead and that was better than having all kinds of threats and screaming from their sales tactics. He was making my business look like the rip-off of the century. He continued along with his sales people to call and threaten to sue me, and or ruin me for good, I would estimate over 11 calls came from Ad Efx. I don't know who or how many of these coupons that they sold, and how many people they mislead, or how much damage they have caused my business?
From all the phone calls I would estimate they did a great job of making us look horrible based on false advertising, and illegal information they were selling. I can't tell you how much I want to close this company down for the Rip-Off con artists that they are. David is a class act of no morals, no ethics, no manners, no legal knowledge, or his lack of remorse of all the people he scammed for his $50.00 per coupon take. I did not get a penny from anything just the customer coming in to get all these free services his sales people were promising illegally. I would be out over $500.00 per coupon if I did what he was proposing I do. He even had the nerve to come into my business 3 days later and tell me how unreasonable I am.
He told me to just honor the coupons he sold, and he would leave me alone. I told him the facts of CA penal codes, and that he committed a crime that I was going to make sure he would be punished for. I told him I reported him to every agency I could find. I told him the only thing he was going to do is call everyone he sold a coupon to and give them back every penny he illegally sold. I then told him get out of my business and never come back. David from Ad Efx is a con artist and has made a huge impact on my business. I can't believe that a company that goes out and does this can still be open for business?
He bragged at how much money he makes, and I told him that I work for mine legally and have respect, morals, and just plain common courtesy. This will take time for us to recover from if we ever do or can? I am still sick knowing that he ripped off so many people and tried to con me. I have done all that I can other than suing him, and I would love to. Most of all my deepest wish and prayer would be him being put out of his business and losing his license for good. He uses his contract and doesn't a bid by it. I pointed that out to him.
He uses the back of his coupons to say that any verbal agreements are not honored, then proceeds to lie, and then will tell people what the back of the coupons say. He is a man with a mission and that is screwing over everyone in his path so that he gets his money. He will not care, nor his sales people, who they screw to get their illegal sales done. They go home laughing while the business owners and their staff are left in the eye of the hurricane to clean up after them.
Even telling people that they did fraudulent sales doesn't really help the reputation of our business. Help me and my staff with letting this man and his Ad Efx that he will NEVER rip-off another person ever again. Thank you for the opportunity to get even, I have all the documentation to back myself up. I also have plenty of witnesses and mad people that are more than happy to help.
