In my experience DirecTV is not willing to work with their customers. I called DirecTV to request an extension. Just a one day extension and all I owe is $100. This is the first time in 3yrs that I didn't have payment, due to holiday shopping. They informed me that they don't make those sort of arrangements for customers. I've never had that problem out of Comcast, the only issue I had with Comcast was pricing. But as with anything, you get what you pay for and with Comcast it was better service!
