Company: Allstate Motor Club
Incident Date: Thursday, February 26
I had a total transmission failure and was left stranded in an active intersection in downtown Kansas City, Mo., when I called this company for roadside assistance.
I made my first call to Allstate on 2/26/09 at 1:47 PM, and it lasted 25 minutes because the customer service representative said he was having computer problems and asked me to stand by while he dealt with them.
I made 19 additional calls relevant to this problem, and the last call was made at 4:10 PM, when I was finally picked up.
Because of the gross incompetence and willful abuse of Allstate Road Side Assistance, I was left stranded in an active intersection from 1:47 PM until 4:10 PM, at which time I was towed by a non-Allstate vendor.
The behavior of Allstate does not meet minimum standards of conduct for the insurance industry and is inconsistent with the best interest of the insuring public.
