They are pushy salespeople... Waiting for the next gullible person to buy a warranty

You know how you see those fast food or chain restaurant commercials showing their food all looking all pretty and perfect? Then you go to that place to eat and the stuff doesn't even look like the commercial and they need to clean their bathrooms?

Well it is the same way with this company's commercial and the warranties they sell. The commercial tells you how great it is, how everything is covered, you get peace knowing you are covered.

The salesperson gets all pushy and talks you into buying the warranty. Like a fool, you give your information to them. They are suppose to mail you a contract and you have to keep calling them to ask where it is. You finally get it and read it and the coverage is not what you were told. You find out you have this long waiting period of 60 days AND 1500 miles. You were told 60 days OR 1500 miles. You read that it is only going to pay out to the blue book value of your car and that is it. So my car is worth blue book of about $2400. The warranty costs me almost that much.

You get so fed up that you want to cancel so you call the customer service number and they harass you to keep it. You say no, they send you to a department that answers accounts receivable, they try to talk you into keeping it, you say no and then they send you to another person who offers a big discount. You tell them know and they keep hounding you. You say you want to cancel as you don't like the coverage. They say that there is a $25 cancellation fee. (I asked the salesperson if there was a fee to cancel when I talked to him; he said no.) I tell them that, they apologize. I tell them to just send my $100 down payment back to me and they said it has been over 30 days and they need all this information. I have to get my mileage notorized and send in a note with it saying I cancel and sign and date. I want to FAX it and they said no, you have to mail it because of the notary seal. (Notary's all use ink stamps now so I didn't understand).

So I mail all the stuff in and I still don't get my money they said they would return to my credit card. I call customer service and they argue with me that they don't show that I sent in the paperwork.By this time I am afraid they are going to take out money from my account for the monthly payment. I told customer service I had not received the notice that they would take out the money. They tell me they don't send out notices because I agreed to having my account billed each month.

I went to my bank and stopped any automatic withdrawals from being taken from my account. About three weeks later after I threatened to contact the Better Business Bureau I got my $100 returned MINUS the $25.
