Fairbanks Capital is not a mortgage company but a loan servicing company. Accordingly, they say they are allowed to charge fees for everything they do to service my mortgage, including charging 13% interest.
This company has been overcharging me for months on supposed interest charges, late fees, appraisals and demand letters. Every time I pay them for the overcharges they put the payment into an unapplied account and continue charging me interest because (even though I have already paid them) they claim I am late. I repeatedly asked them to give me the full balance of late fees so I could pay it off, and every month they find new, old balances that I haven't paid.
For the past three months they have come up with additional charges ranging from $105.00 to, just today, $82.00. I have paid these people hundreds, maybe thousands, of dollars in fees over the past several years.
