Allstate auto insurance claims it did not receive forms from the body shop. T&J body shop claims it was waiting for the Allstate team to look at my car and fax over the supplementary forms. In the meantime, my car was at the body shop awaiting decisions. Allstate paid for repairs and agreed to pay for my rental car for as long as I needed the car. After 20 phone calls, on 5/24 my car was ready and I returned the rental car.
Two weeks later I got a call from Enterprise auto rental telling me Allstate is not paying the total bill. Allstate told me that T&J auto body shop was not an authorized body shop and that they kept my car too long, so they are not paying for all the rental charges. The balance due is $522. I did not keep my rental car longer than I needed to. I have never put in a comprehensive claim and should not be hassled by Allstate Auto Insurance Co. and/or T&J Auto Body Shop. Enterprise is calling me for the balance, and it was not my fault. I made every effort and more to resolve this issue.
Please help.
