Collection letters demand $2,196.92 that was already paid

I have received many threatening letters from this company about an accident my mother had in my car. They say they are collecting for Allstate Insurance. A few days ago they sent me a registered letter demanding payment of $2,196.92 by March 1 or they would start litigation.

The thing is, it was paid to Allstate on January 29. It looks to me like they are trying to collect twice. I called them, and the woman asked if I had proof it was paid. I told her that if they sent any more letters to me, I would sue them. She said to me, "Can I talk?" I said no, I have listened to your threats for months, and it is my turn. She hung up on me. I have a heart problem, and this has caused me a lot of stress.
