On 9/3, I went to Petco store #1895 to buy a conure parrot. We found one we liked and spent $284.06. We had the bird for seven weeks. I went to bed on 10/22 (Saturday night), and when I woke up on Sunday the 23rd, the bird was dead. I called Petco and talked with a girl named Autum. She called her boss, Bonnie, who said that if I paid for testing on the bird to find out what happened to her, and it was nothing I had done, they would pay back the money for the bird and the test, which cost me $250.00.
The report from PALDS in Kennett Square, PA, says "suspect proventricular dilation syndrome." They will not give me my money back because it does not say for sure that this is what the bird died from. They now say they never said that, and I had nothing in writing. I will never step foot in a Petco again.
