The Sears Citi bank card has charged me late fees. I paid multiple payments each month, but the company refused to recognize the payments as credited in the month in which they were received because "they had not yet sent out the bill." They then charged me late fees and placed derogatory entries in my credit report.
I was flabbergasted and asked them to correct this, but they have refused.
I have filed a formal complaint with the Washington State Attorney General's office and am seeking others to whom this has happened.
These people have a history of lying, stealing and cheating consumers, as evidenced by the multiple class-action lawsuits on which they have paid damages.
If I do not get satisfaction from these efforts, I will be looking for other class holders to become part of a class action against these dishonorable people.
In addition, I shall never shop at a Sears retail outlet again! I hope others do the same.
