Hello. Aren't we all just a bunch of happy campers? These (I'll put it nicely) idiots are sitting in their little offices stealing our homes, or trying to anyway in some cases.
My little adventure started when my loan got transferred to these lovely people in November 2006. My very first set of statements (we have 2 mortgages) had our 1st and 2nd loans switched in the payment amounts and said we were 1 month behind on both. Nice of them, huh? I have called these people at least 75-100 times since November 2006, and guess what? It's still all a "BIG FAT MESS." They are threatening to foreclose on our home. I "THOUGHT," key word, we were going to get out of this mess by doing a refinance. But guess what? They have put all this really nice stuff on our credit, so now we can't refinance!
After I got this last bit of good news, I decided to call these nice people. It only took me 5-6 calls to reach an actual person this time. I have had to call as many as 11 times in a row before getting a real person. When I finally did, I just let them have it, all of it. I am a very calm person by nature, but when you've had it, you've had it. Even us calm people can only take so much. After I had chewed up one person and told her I was going to call the Better Business Bureau and turn them in, POOF, I got transferred to a supervisor.
I let him have it too. I was on the phone with him for about 2 hours today (01/29/07), having my little fit of rage, and now, let me tell you, he said it will all be taken care of. Hmm, where have I heard that before? I am supposed to give them until the 2nd of February to get everything taken care of and then call them back. Oh, a little tidbit he told me: when you call this number, 1-800-283-7918, instead of entering your account number or your Social Security number, you should press *0 repeatedly until you get a real person. Now isn't that just sweet of him, another way to torture me!
Well, thank you very much, Mr. Jason at CitiMortgage. Now all I have to do is wait and then call them on Wednesday. And by Wednesday, my January payment will also be past due, and then we can start on my February payment, and so on and so forth.
News just in: my husband's policeman friend said we should contact our state attorney general's office and turn them in. Maybe if we all do this, we might get somewhere. Thanks for listening.
