First, I worked for TWC for years up to and including when it became BHN at the main NOC in Brandon Florida, I know all to well the backbone of BHN in it's current capacity. People should know that Tampa/St. Petersburg is one of the main implementation locations for all things new in Cable TV, On-demand, VoIP and Internet. With that said, it carries with it a lot of issues that is passed to us, the customer such as cost and service quality (or lack thereof). I was quite proud for several years to be part of the first teams to implement said services in the country but as customer, I know I am being ripped off. Here is 'all' I want from BHN, a good internet connection for all my wired/wireless computers and devices and to watch HBO. For that, I pay, after taxes, 160 a month (granted, I have 2 extra premium services and my plasma requires HD). That is a VERY steep price to pay for those items, I don't watch non premium T.V. So the rest is useless to me, but Brighthouse wants 160 a month just for minimal services. Customer support is a joke, have been trying to find ways with them to lower my bill around my needs but because I have almost zero other options, they know they can squeeze me. I have constant service interruptions that I know what is causing it even before I call, but support hasn't a clue. The prices are getting higher and the service and support is getting lower, if you have opportunity to go another route, I would highly recommend it as a customer and a person who knows the system intimately and I know they can offer better service at a much reduced cost and still make money, but greed is greed from the Newhouse Family and if it was for the need of internet and HBO, BHN would go (or if i had options in my apartment complex).
