Just starting this mess

I just moved into a complex today that is serviced ONLY by DirecPath for internet. I called last week to set up my appointment, and I was told to expect a tech b/w 12-5 pm. I had a relative stay at my house to make sure everything went ok b/c I couldn't get time off work for this.

So 4 pm rolls around, and so far no luck. I call customer service and the rep confirmed that my ticket was still open and confirmed the 12-5 time slot. Since there was still an hour left, I decided to wait and hope for the (unlikely) best.

5 pm rolls around and no tech yet. I call customer service again, and this rep stated I was slotted for a time slot of 1-6 PM. This Was NEVER the case and I told him so! (How convenient to change the times when they don't show). So he calls dispatch, who apparently gave him an ETA of 630 PM. I tell him that won't work b/c I get off work at 7 and no one will be home at that time. I told him it needed to be rescheduled for a time that worked for me, so I've been reset for 8am-1pm tomorrow morning. We'll see.

I wish I could just move to another area that has options for internet service, but I'm in the only apartment complex in Sandy Springs which has 4 bedrooms (which is required due to my family size). No way will I move farther from my job by Perimeter Mall and have a helluva commute in ATL just to live somewhere w/better internet. I'm just waiting for the day my complex ends their contract and starts w/comcast; supposedly sometimes in 2012.
