Time Warner Cable - Contract Issue - Timw Warner Cable (Internet, phone, television package)

I signed on with TWC over 2 years ago for a "package deal" that included phone, internet, and TV. I was told at the time I signed, the contract was valid and binding for 2 years, and after that point, I would be free to shop other places for these services if I so desired.

I spoke with TWC a little over 60 days after my contract had expired, indicating I would be more than likely dropping their services. I was informed at that time by a TWC Service Rep that I spoke with at the local office, that because I had not dropped their services within 30 days of the contract expiration, I was automatically re-enrolled for another 2 years. If I dropped their services, I would be still be responsible for paying for the remainder of the contract.

I feel I was mislead when I signed the contract originally because they told me I could cancel at any time after 2 years. I have been a TWC customer for over 15 years, but I will definitely suggest to all my friends and relatives they obtain these services elsewhere as a result of what I consider TWC's " shady and deceiving" business practices.
