I had have TWC for my other homes before and wanted to get it for my parents' place, so back in mid October I convinced them to switch them over since they'd always have ATT. There was a promotion from a TWC retailer offering through Offerwire for $150 Visa Card if order Triple Play through them. When I contacted TWC rep to set up the installation, Clint (Referral Code #V414986) said to place the exact order directly through TWC website and not to worry that I will get the $150 CC. I just wanted that $150 to pay forward into future TWC bills nothing more. Happily I did as directed by TWC rep and finally 1st bill came, modem was quote $2.95 but was charge $3.95 without any notices, in addition to the $4.95 WiFi fee, which I did not place because I already have my own WiFi router -no need. A few dollars more is not that much, but it does add up in this economy and also it's the principal! I called to have it corrected immediately, told back in November that I will be credited back and the extra charges taken off permanently. 3 Bills later and the charges still there!!! Called again and told that all will finally get taken care of and corrected next bill. Fingers crossed! To add to the ridiculous, my parents tried to record with DVR and it recorded but when they played back the shows or tried to rewind while watching live, the cable crashed froze, blank screen and it took a good 30 seconds to switch between channels with the blank frozen screen again every single time. We thought it was just the box, but both of our boxes have the same problems!!! Oh and the recordings that we didn't watch because we couldn't, apparently managed to erase themselves off the DVR as well when I went to look at them before calling tech rep. And when I do call service reps, no one seemed to know or could help, I kept getting transferred or given numbers to different departments and put on hold and no resolutions. Still no one has gotten back to me on the $150 CC, while their constant TV ads since November kept on touting the $150 Best Buy Gift Card order now, switch now!!! I work for a living too and can't be on call waiting for TWC reps to not get back to me, getting hung up and transferred around. I have never raised my voice on calls, but this is it very frustrating because the line I was just told to call is now closed for the day at 3 PM PST Monday. I have enjoyed TWC for many years without incidents, but extremely disappointed that I could not get the same good service for my parents' place!!!
