We were overcharged during our 4 day Labor Day weekend stay. We were charged $115 per night when the fair and going rate should have been $79 per night. On two occasions, a room rate quote was given at $79 per night to other couples, while we were there. When manager of the motel was questioned, she said she had made a mistake and that she had "forgotten" it was Labor Day weekend. She stated "Everyone does that for Labor Day." Several motels/hotels were called (including high end) and none of them quoted a higher price for Labor Day weekend.
We were told at the time reservation was made that a minimum of three days was the only reservation that could be made. While at this motel, several people came in and they stayed only one night.
Vacuuming was not done daily, sheets were not changed daily nor was the bed made up daily. Trash was overflowing and we had to verbally request that it be emptied. Bare bones room amenities—no shampoo, no hairdryer, no facial tissues, no daily clean glasses, no coffee maker in the room.
