I am a member of many member only online groups. I was happy with Gilt until my recent experience with them. I purchased 3 roundtrip flights from Gilt through Virgin Air. I recently tried to redeem my codes and they wouldn't work. I spoke with someone from Gilt and was assured I'd be contacted within 1-2 days & I'd have a resolution. After 8 days of not hearing from anyone, I contacted Gilt again. I heard the same story from customer service of how I'd hear back from someone. I insisted on staying on the phone until a resolution was found. This time, they found a different issue with my redemption. They basically told me that I could not use my voucher for the flights I wanted. They kept explaining the same reasoning over & over. They would not LISTEN to what I had to say. It was like talking to a brick wall. I feel as though I was deceived by this so-called deal and am now out about $450. I took the time to listen to what Gilt had to say and am VERY disappointed that they wouldn't take my side into account. Even though they have no "proof" of their side, I still took the time to listen and understand what they were saying. They could have offered me the same courtesy. Poor customer service & a scam!!!
