I am a big fan of GILT and often rave about the merchandise and customer service I have experienced.
I plced two orders last week, one of which was a Christmas gift due to arrive this week. I logged into my email last Friday and had a total of 7 messages from GILT. The first one indicated that I need to check my payment info (I have a new debit card that I didn't update) and that I had 3 days before they would cancel my order. The other emails which were sent starting 3 hours later, indicated my orders were canceled.
I have since sent several emails and there is simply no response. I have no reached anyone via phone due to their very limited hours.
At this point, I am certain there is no opportunity to reinstate my orders. While it is not GILT's fault that my debit card info was outdated, a 3 hours window (when stated 3 days) is very unreasonable.
I am mostly disappointed complete lack of response when a 24 hour response time was promised.
GILT needs to improve its customer service to compete with other high-end retailers.
